Mixed-Initiative Level Design with RL Brush

چکیده
This paper introduces RL Brush, a level-editing tool for tile-based games designed mixed-initiative co-creation. The uses reinforcement-learning-based models to augment manual human level-design through the addition of AI-generated suggestions. Here, we apply Brush designing levels classic puzzle game Sokoban. We put online and tested it in 39 different sessions. results show that users using AI suggestions stay around longer their created on average are more playable complex than without.

Managing Design Knowledge with Mixed-Initiative Dialogue
This paper is based on ongoing work in developing interactive interfaces to formal methods for encoding design knowledge. It reports on the development of a shared graphical notation to support user interaction with design knowledge based on mixed-initiative. Mixed-initiative provides a model of interaction where both the designer and the knowledge formalism may share responsibility over decisi...
متن کاملDesign Issues for Mixed-Initiative Agent Systems
This paper addresses the effect of mixed-initiative systems on multiagent systems design. A mixed-initiative system is one in which humans interact directly with software agents in a collaborative approach to problem solving. There are two main levels at which multiagent systems are designed: the domain level and the individual agent level. At the domain level, there are few unique challenges t...
متن کاملModeling dialogue with mixed initiative in design space exploration
Exploration with a generative formalism must necessarily account for the nature of interaction between humans and the design space explorer. Established accounts of design interaction are made complicated by two propositions in Woodbury and Burrow’s Keynote on design space exploration. First, the emphasis on the primacy of the design space as an ordered collection of partial designs ~version, a...
متن کاملMixed-Initiative Design of Game Levels: Integrating Mission and Space into Level Generation
A level designer typically creates the levels of a game to cater for a certain set of objectives, or mission. But in procedural content generation, it is common to treat the creation of missions and the generation of levels as two separate concerns. This often leads to generic levels that allow for various missions. However, this also creates a generic impression for the player, because the pot...
